This page sets out the rules for using sunilbhatia.ai. By using the site you agree to them. I have tried to write them in ordinary English rather than legal language, and they mean what they appear to mean.

In these terms, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Sunil Bhatia, an individual, who runs this site. “You” means you, the person using it.

What this site is

This site is a personal blog and portfolio. I publish articles about software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data engineering and leadership, along with notes on books I have read. From time to time I may also offer paid material such as webinars, courses or books.

These are my own views

Everything here is written in my personal capacity. Nothing on this site represents the views of any employer, client or organisation I am or have been associated with, and nothing here is written on their behalf.

Nothing here is professional advice

The articles describe my own experience and opinions. They are not professional, technical, financial, legal or career advice, and they are not tailored to your situation. Code samples are illustrations, not production-ready software. Test anything you take from this site before you rely on it, and get proper advice for decisions that matter.

Using the site

You are welcome to read, share and link to anything here. Please do not:

• copy substantial parts of my writing and publish it as your own;
• use the site in any way that breaks the law;
• try to break into, overload, disrupt or probe the site or the server it runs on;
• scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other people;
• use automated tools to collect content at scale without asking me first.

If you want to republish an article, quote more than a short extract, or use my writing to train a model, please write to me at support@sunilbhatia.ai and ask. I am generally happy to say yes.

Who owns what

I own the articles, images and design on this site, unless something says otherwise. You may quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link back.

The code samples in my articles are different: you may use them freely in your own projects, with no attribution required and no warranty of any kind.

Trademarks, product names and book titles mentioned here belong to their respective owners.

Links to other sites

I link to other websites where they are useful. I do not control them and I am not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. Following an external link is your decision.

Paid material

If I offer anything for sale — a webinar registration, a book, a course, or similar — then:

• the description on the sale page tells you what you are buying;
• payment is taken through a third-party payment provider, and their terms apply to the payment itself;
• access is granted to you personally and may not be shared, resold or redistributed;
• all payments are final. Please read the Refund Policy before you buy.

No warranty, and limits on my liability

The site is provided as it is. I do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that anything on it is complete or current.

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or anything you found on it — including lost data, lost profits, or costs from acting on something you read here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

I may update these terms. When I do, I will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.
